Following the success of last year’s first ever I Talk Telly Awards, the Awards are back to give YOU the chance to have your say about what you’ve enjoyed from the past twelve months* of telly.

With 133 nominations across 21 categories, picking your favourite isn’t going to be easy!

EastEnders and Coronation Street lead the way with 6 nominations each, followed closely behind by BBC Two drama Line Of Duty whose incredible third series has secured 5 nominations across Best Drama, Best Actor In A Drama and Best Actress In A Drama.

ITV follow with 4 nominations for their hit comedy Benidorm and 4 nominations for Ant & Dec. And BBC Three aren’t far behind with 3 nominations for Murder In Successville and 3 nominations for People Just Do Nothing.

In terms of channels, the BBC lead the way with 61 nominations across BBC One (32), BBC Two (11), BBC Four (1), BBC Three (16), which made the switch from a linear channel to an online channel earlier this year and has been delivering some of their best programmes to date as well as a first nomination for a BBC iPlayer original.

ITV follow behind with 33 nominations across ITV (28), ITV2 (4) and ITVBe (1) and then Channel 4 with 18 nominations, spread across Channel 4 (14) and E4 (4).

All the same categories are back along with some new ones as well as a few changes! Best International Series has now been split into two categories; Best International Comedy/Entertainment Series and Best International Drama.

With more comedy and drama on our screens than ever before, Best New Comedy, Best Returning Comedy, Best New Drama and Best Returning Drama have been increased from six nominations each, to nine.

This year sees the addition of Best Actor and Best Actress In A Soap. Two categories which celebrate the very best talent from the soap world.

And finally, I’ve always been a champion of new talent so this year sees the addition of another brand new category, Best Newcomer, which highlights the upcoming talent which I believe you’re going to be seeing a lot more of in the future.

Voting is now open and will close on Saturday 10th December 2016, and winners will be revealed on Thursday 15th December 2016.
