Ant & Dec win big at the I Talk Telly Awards 2022

Other big winners included comedies After Life and Am I Being Unreasonable? as well as BBC One soap EastEnders.


Since launching in 2015, the I Talk Telly Awards, created and organised by I Talk Telly Founder Elliot Gonzalez, have seen almost 1.7m votes registered, with almost 200,000 votes registered last month when voting opened across 23 categories.


Entirely voted for by the public, there were big wins once again for Ant & Dec as they walked away with Best TV Presenting Partnership, Best Entertainment Show for Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway and Best Reality TV Show for I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!



Other big winners included comedies After Life and Am I Being Unreasonable with wins in New and Returning comedy, plus wins for Ricky Gervais in Comedy Performance and Lenny Rush in Best Breakthrough.


And in the soap categories, EastEnders was voted Best Soap for the first time since 2020 and Max Bowden was awarded Best Dramatic Performance. There were also wins for Coronation Street and Emmerdale, with Paddy Bever winning Best Soap Newcomer and Bradley Johnson and Isobel Steele winning Best Soap Partnership.


Winning Best Daytime Show for the 8th year in a row was ITV's This Morning, with Gogglebox winning Best Factual Entertainment for the 6th time and hit Disney+ comedy Only Murders in the Building was once again voted Best International Comedy.


In the drama categories Heartstopper, My Name Is Leon, Peaky Blinders and Stranger Things won Best New Drama, Best Single Dranam, Best Returning Drama and Best International Drama respectively. With Suranne Jones being voted Best Dramatic Performance for her final outing as Anne Lister in Gentleman Jack.


Elsewhere, having led this year's nominations, Mo Gilligan was voted Best TV Presenter, Strictly Come Dancing was named Best Talent Show, Frozen Planet II won Best Documentary and Ghosts fans came out in large numbers to vote for Charlotte Ritchie and Kiell Smith-Bynoe as Best Comedy Partnership.
