Following Warren's escape from prison, police are swarming Hollyoaks and his face is everywhere as Hollyoaks prepares to welcome in a new era with a stunt week. And it's an eventful week in the village as Hollyoaks prepares to jump ahead one year from the following week.
Whilst the net might be closing in on him, Blue lurks with a gun. When Ethan and Vicky bump into him, he acts like nothing is going on.
As James gets ready to go to his hospital appointment, Warren confirms the plan with Donny and Ste. He will go to the meeting point to exchange Misbah and bring him face to face with his nemesis Blue.
Meeting Donny, Grace wants to know where Warren is, as she doesn’t trust him to show up. And she’s right to be worried.
Mercedes tells Warren he has to break his deal with Donny and instead leave with her and the twins. But will he agree?
Meanwhile at the hotel, Misbah tries to get into her captor’s Rex’s head as she reasons there is another way. Despite thinknig she has broken through, Rex instead tells Misbah they are moving location for the meet.
Elsewhere, Cleo pretends to Abe she is sorry about the night before, but once he has left for work she packs a bag and prepares to flee. As Cleo waits at the village bus stop, Joel is concerned about what is wrong. Arriving, Abe confronts her and with Prince's help, she escapes on the bus.
Calling Mercedes, Cleo begs her for help. On the edge of the village, Mercedes and Warren believe they are heading off for a fresh start. But having picked up Cleo’s message they delay at the woods to wait for her.
Switching buses, Abe catches up with Cleo who flags down Dave on his bike and asks him take her to Warren and Mercedes. Delighted to be led to Warren, they flee the scene.
With Cleo on the back of Dave’s bike, a motorbike chase ensues and a furious Abe trails them by car. Managing to shake him off, Dave tells Cleo he will get her to Warren and Mercedes.
Unwittingly leading the killer to his prey, Cleo speaks to Mercedes to try and co-ordinate a meet.
As Dave heads into the woods, he leaves Cleo alone. Meanwhile, Warren tells Mercedes that he will always love her, before heading off down a path into the woods. However, it's not Cleo he finds there, but Dave, who he doesn’t realise is Blue. Until its too late
Back at The Dog car park, Sienna and Ethan have a heart to heart, during which Ethan confesses he's still in love with her. And James tells Ste he is afraid of dying, leaving him devastated that he hid it from him.
Meanwhile, Suzanne, JJ, Jack and Frankie run into each other outside the Dog patio and Frankie, with Sally and Jack, confronts Suzanne about not believing that JJ abused her.
As she details the horrors that she experienced as a child and says she will not be silenced, Jack adds pressure and challenges Suzanne’s denials that she knew.
As she's being chased by Abe, Cleo tries to make it back to her home, but doesn’t have the experience to control the bike.
Careering through the market, Cleo goes straight through the front of the McQueen’s house. Inside which are Marie, Jack, Suzanne and Frankie.
Having left the McQueens place in a state of devastation, outside, Cleo lies on the floor and Abe, who had chased her into the crash can’t get a response from her. Instead of getting help, he ransacks her bag and takes the iPad before calling an ambulance.
Meanwhile in the woods, Mercedes desperately calls Waren and Darren races to Frankie and Jack after Leela breaks the news of the accident to the Osbornes and Tony.
At the hospital Joel tries to find out why Cleo was on the bike and what she was trying to get away from. Revealing her bruises, Cleo tells Leela and Joel that Abe abuses her, which sparks a fight between the brothers, only to be interrupted by Marie crashing.
Telling Cleo that Marie has died, Abe warns her he’s going to make her wish she was dead and when Sally comes to the hospital room, she finds the bed empty.
Mercedes returns to the village with the twins, to find the McQueens destroyed and the next time we return to Hollyoaks village, one year will have passed since the tragic events of this day.
