After staying away from the Hucks party, Sadie decides she needs to get back to normal and asks Byron to come on a walk with her, to start her off on her first solo outing since she was attacked.
Keen, Byron says he has to run an errand at the vineyard first and a stir-crazy Sadie summons the courage to go out by herself, only to see Lana handing over a wad of cash to Byron.
Fuelled by Byron’s cagey behaviour about Lana and feeling insecure, Sadie asks him if he’s escorting again, but he quickly denies it, explaining he’s been doing some legal work for Lana.
When pressed over why he lied to her about it, Byron admits to Sadie that he thinks he wants to be a lawyer again.
