Darcy and Chelsea grow close in Neighbours as he tries to help Terese with her 'problem'

What will this mean for Terese's deal with Darcy?

 12-18 APRIL

Darcy’s offer to help Terese with her ‘Chelsea problem’ hangs in the air. Explaining how he can see how uncomfortable Chelsea is making her, especially around Paul, he tells her that he'd be happy to be her eyes and ears and let her know if Chelsea is planning any moves Terese wouldn’t like.

Resisting temptation, Terese returns home to find Chelsea looking very cosy at the Penthouse. And Terese is left feeling rejected when Paul misses her hint of trying to get him to prioritise her over Chelsea and Thomas.

Later, Terese gives Darcy the job he wants at Eirini, job-sharing with Karl, in return for intelligence. Taken aback by the hiring, Susan is surprised that she wasn’t consulted and Karl is thrown by how quickly it’s all happened, admitting he did give his blessing but didn’t expect it to be a foregone conclusion.

As Darcy starts staking his claim on the job, Karl grows increasingly uncomfortable and Paul is also deeply unhappy about the hiring. Feeling guilty about the disturbance she’s created, Terese sticks to her guns as having Darcy’s help is worth it.

When Darcy invites Chelsea to help him celebrate his new role by having a coffee with him at Eirini, they both witness Paul’s dislike of Darcy’s employment, which Darcy finds frustrating, but it starts to make Chelsea wonder if Paul is being so hard on Darcy because he’s jealous.

As Darcy begins to flirt more and more with Chelsea, he invites her to his place so he can cook her lunch, before admitting outright how attractive he finds her.

Flattered, Chelsea tempers his hope, leaving him unsure as to what she feels. And Chelsea pitches the idea of Darcy holding an open investor session for the public to learn about his wellness business. As they discuss this, Paul and Terese turn up at the door. Goaded to see them together again, Paul tries to put his foot down, saying he doesn’t want Darcy anywhere near his son.

However, Chelsea is privately convinced now that Paul is jealous and tells him that he’ll have to get over himself since she and Darcy are now seeing each other and plants a kiss on him! Both stunned, Paul initially blows his top, while Terese is privately unsure what it means for her deal with Darcy.

Once alone, Darcy is equally shocked, but Chelsea promises him her feelings are real and she was just holding back with him earlier because her life is complicated.

Having cooled down, Paul is able to realise the danger of getting Chelsea offside, or giving her the impression he’s overly invested in her personal life, and brings himself to apologise.

Meanwhile, Darcy assures Terese he’ll still honour their agreement since they’re now even more aligned. Neither of them wants to see Chelsea and Paul together.

Returning from seeing off his dear friend Harold, Karl’s put out to find Darcy moving his things into the newly shared office and is also confronted when Darcy takes over his consult with Gino.

But Karl’s concern grows when Gino later expresses interest in the investor information session for Darcy’s health centre and he warns Darcy that soliciting residents for funds is unacceptable.
