Darcy discovers Karl's painkiller problem in Neighbours

But can Darcy wean Karl off them? And can he be trusted?

 22-28 MARCH

Susan is more inclined to believe Darcy’s intentions are good after speaking to her sister Carmel. But whilst she softens towards her nephew, Karl remains wary.

Afer organising to meet Darcy for lunch, Karl and Susan overhear him on the phone insinuating there’s another reason for why he’s come to Erinsborough. Darcy explains he wants to open an integrated health clinic and is looking for investors.

At home, Karl’s addiction gets out of hand as he rummages around looking for more pills. Upon finding some, Darcy springs him and calls him out. Karl should know better than to be taking that many painkillers.

What will Darcy do now that he knows Karl has a problem?

Admitting that although he's upping the recommended dosage of painkillers, Karl assures Darcy that he has a handle on it, and asks him to keep the information to himself. Keeping his word, Darcy offers to help wean Karl off them. But Karl wonders what he'll want in return.

When Darcy assures him that he has no ulterior motive, a skeptical Karl has no reason to accept and agrees to give Darcy’s treatment plan a go.

Neighbours continues Mondays to Thursdays on Prime Video
