Elaine finds herself in hospital after collapsing twice in EastEnders

Are they panic attacks or something more serious?

Things are tense in The Vic as Linda tells Elaine she wants to sell her half of The Vic and a row breaks out when Elaine tries to convince Linda to rethink her decision.

Retreating to the café, Linda speaks with George, who encourages her to see the situation from Elaine's point of view.

Spying their interaction from The Vic, Elaine jumps to the conclusion that the pair are plotting behind her back, and later Elaine is deflated when her meeting with the bank doesn’t go as planned. As she tries to rope Johnny into being her silent partner, he refuses.

After an emotional day, Elaine loses it in The Vic and orders all the customers out before getting into a furious row with Linda. But the stress of events takes its toll and Elaine collapses, much to Johnny and Linda’s horror.

As Linda and Johnny rally around Elaine, she plays her collapse off as a panic attack, and feeling guilty, Linda confides in Johnny, reasoning that she should keep her share of The Vic for Elaine’s sake. But Johnny is adamant he wants her to sell and the pair return to the bar to find Elaine collapsed once again.

Later on in the week, Felix is put out to see Johnny and Callum spending time together and is deflated when Johnny reveals he is going to miss The Albert’s pride celebrations to visit Elaine in hospital.
