FIRST LOOK Strictly Come Dancing 2023

A first look at the cast of this year's Strictly Come Dancing.


Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One with its launch show on Saturday 16th September for its 21st series, once again bringing glitter, glamour and glorious dancing to homes across the nation.



The new series promises to entertain the nation once again, with presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman back in the ballroom to oversee proceedings each weekend as a host of brand-new celebrity contestants take to the floor in a bid to lift the coveted Glitterball Trophy.



The launch trailer, gets viewers excited for the show’s much-anticipated return alongside these first look pictures of this year's Strictly professionals!



Filmed at the Tate Britain in London, the trailer will see this year's professional dancers perform a stunning routine which will open the launch show with a glitter-filled bang later this month.


The dazzling professional dancers already revealed for the upcoming series are Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Graziano Di Prima, Amy Dowden, Carlos Gu, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Lauren Oakley, Giovanni Pernice, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Michelle Tsiakkas, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, and Vito Coppola.



The fifteen celebrities taking part this year were announced last month and include stage and screen actor Amanda Abbington, journalist, TV presenter, newsreader, and author Angela Rippon CBE, film and theatre actor Layton Williams, journalist and broadcaster Krishnan Guru-Murthy, stand-up comedian and radio presenter Eddie Kadi and TV presenter Angela Scanlon.



Joining them are broadcaster and content creator Zara McDermott, actor and TV presenter Adam Thomas, radio host and TV presenter Nikita Kanda, actor Ellie Leach, World and Paralympic Champion Jody Cundy CBE, actor and model Bobby Brazier, TV, film, and theatre actor and director Nigel Harman, former British Number One tennis player Annabel Croft.


With TV Personality, actor and entertainer Les Dennis completing this year's line-up.


Who will the new celebrities be paired with and can they dance? We’ll find out on the launch of Strictly Come Dancing 2023!


Of course, Strictly wouldn't be complete without its fabulous judging panel which sees Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas all back behind the judges' desk,


In addition to all this, Dave Arch and his wonderful band will once again provide the soundtrack to Saturday and Sunday nights all across the UK and there is so much more to look forward to, including unforgettable group routines, world-class music acts, theme weeks and of course the much anticipated annual trip to the iconic and much loved Tower Ballroom in Blackpool.


And over on It Takes Two, weekdays on BBC Two, new co-presenter Fleur East will be joining Janette Manrara, who returns for her third series presenting the show.
