FIRST LOOK The Gentlemen

Netflix has today released a number of first look images from Guy Ritchie's new drama set in the world of The Gentlemen film, but not starring the original characters.

Inspired by the original film with the same title, The Gentlemen is co-created, co-written and co-executive-produced by Guy Ritchie, who has also directed the first two episodes.

The Gentlemen follows Eddie Horniman, played by Theo James, who unexpectedly inherits his father’s sizeable country estate, only to discover it’s part of a cannabis empire. Moreover, a host of unsavoury characters from Britain’s criminal underworld want a piece of the operation. Determined to extricate his family from their clutches, Eddie tries to play the gangsters at their own game. However, as he gets sucked into the world of criminality, he begins to find a taste for it.

It also stars Kaya Scodelario, Daniel Ings, Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones, Giancarlo Esposito, Chanel Cresswell, Michael Vu, Max Beesley, Jasmine Blackborow, Harry Goodwins, Dar Salim, Pearce Quigley, Ruby Sear and Peter Serafinowicz.

Co-produced by Netflix, Moonage Pictures and Miramax TV, The Gentlemen is co-written by Matthew Read and Guy Ritchie and produced by Hugh Warren with Guy Ritchie, Matthew Read, Marn Davies and Ivan Atkinson as Executive Producers alongside Marc Helwig for Miramax TV, and Will Gould and Frith Tiplady for Moonage Pictures.

The Gentlemen will air in 2024 on Netflix
