What part will Felix play?
21-27 SEPTEMBER
Holly spends the last of Heath’s money buying an overpriced car to treat herself. While she’s keen to show everyone, she can feel their judgement, wondering how she got the money or why she would spend so much.
Catching a sniff of what’s going on, Wendy is immediately suspicious and on the trail. She tells Karl her concerns, while not telling him about Heath’s money. Karl is worried Holly is spending money through trauma and tries to raise the issue with his daughter. But it goes badly.
Determined to enjoy her new purchase, she goes to test all the new features only to receive an anonymous text asking for Heath's money back. How’s Holly going to get out of this one?
As her joy of buying her dream car quickly turns to panic, Holly pieces together that it’s Heath's ex-bodyguard, Justin, and decides the only thing to do is to give him the remaining money to get rid of him.
But when Karl and Susan give the garden a clean-up, they unwittingly throw out the potting mix containing the money. Which leaves Holly in a confronting predicament as she tries to work out how to come up with the money, and fast.
Later, at Toadie's farewell party, Wendy observes Holly’s stressed-out behaviour and rightly deduces that Holly used stolen money to buy her ridiculously expensive car and resolves to share her concerns with Susan.
Keen to tackle Holly on the subject in private, Susan accompanies Holly to the Waterhole, but before she gets the chance to broach the topic, Justin appears making violent threats towards Holly and the situa[on goes down-hill fast from there.
Brandishing his gun, Justin grabs Holly for leverage and orders Aaron to lock the doors and gets everyone to hand their phones over. As a guilty Holly faces Paul and Susan’s judgment, they realise her actions have led to this situation.
Outside, Leo finds The Waterhole locked and alerts Andrew. With the police now involved, Justin’s panic escalates and Paul brokers a phone call between Justin and Andrew. But Justin ends the call when Andrew encourages him to let the hostages go.
When the police cordon off The Waterhole, Andrew assures Sadie that they don’t need to worry about Wendy as she’s not in The Waterhole, which is when a terrified Wendy and Quinn are revealed to be hiding in the pub’s office.
As Andrew and his boss rue the lack of intel they have to what’s going on inside, Felix, determined to help, sneaks into The Waterhole disguised as a worker. He then calls Andrew and hides his phone, giving the police a listening device.
When Felix allows Justin to discover him, during this distraction, Aaron escapes. Furious, Justin herds the remaining hostages together, lashing out at Paul and Holly.
The next morning, whilst the whole community bolster each other, Sadie informs Andrew that Wendy didn’t come home last night and hasn't answered her calls or texts.
When Quinn and Wendy are discovered, Justin becomes agitated again, grabbing Susan. Andrew is shocked by the revelation that Wendy is also a victim of the siege and she's with Quinn.
Realising things are spiralling, Felix makes his move and lunges at Justin. Thrown by the discovery of Wendy and Quinn, Andrew hesitates when a shot rings out from The Waterhole, before belatedly ordering the Critical Incident Response Team to go. Surging in, they find Felix has Justin secured and the hostages are safe.
As Susan, Karl, and Holly reunite, Susan stops Felix to offer a sincere thanks and a shaky Wendy emerges, wondering why Andrew hasn’t come to her.
Finding Andrew, tears overwhelm her, but Andrew simply stares, coldly. Questioning what she was doing with him.
