Nell comes clean about the part she played in Seb's death in Neighbours

What will the consequences of her confession be?

 19-25 APRIL

Tortured by her guilt over killing Seb, when Nell learns that Leo’s case has taken a turn for the worse and he’s fled, believing he’ll end up in Jail, she can’t take it anymore and calls JJ to tell him that she’s going to confess to Terese that she was responsible for Seb’s death, not Leo. Unaware that Chelsea has heard her confession via the baby monitor.

As Nell and JJ resolve to tell Terese about Nell’s role in Sebastian’s death, Chelsea races off to tell Paul what she's overheard. And while a teary Nell confesses to Terese, Detective Fox tells Paul that there’s a warrant out for Leo’s arrest.

As Paul reels, Chelsea rushes over to say she knows who killed Seb.

Once Nell has finished telling Terese her story, Terese decides to call Toadie while they all head to the police station. But when they arrive, they’re surprised to see Paul, Chelsea and Rafe already there as Paul has dobbed Nell in!

With Terese upset with Paul for going straight to the police instead of considering Nell's fate, their argument escalates, leaving Terese fed up. Paul betrayed Nell and her, and there’s no coming back from it.

Meanwhile, Krista tracks Leo and Abigail down as they prepare to flee to Rio. Leo is shocked and when she announces that she won’t let him go alone, Leo thinks it’s too much of a sacrifice. However Krista is adamant. He and Abigail are her family. Touched, Leo relents, but just as they’re about to leave, Paul calls to let them know that Nell has confessed and Leo’s off the hook.

As Leo, Krista and Abigail return Leo supports an upset Nell, saying they’ll get through this together. Leo’s emotions finally come up, relieved he’s not going to jail and Krista comforts him.

Later, as Jane, Karl, Susan and Terese gather to support Nell, JJ and Terese try to reassure Nell as she fears for the worst. And as Terese continues to clash with Paul, he says he only told the police about Nell to save Leo.

While JJ continues to be angry with Chelsea for telling Paul about Nell, Terese downloads to Karl and Susan about Paul, and they sympathise but point out that he had good reason to do what he did. Terese concedes but when Darcy attempts to explain that Chelsea also had good intentions, Terese snaps. And when Chelsea overhears him talking about the deal he had with Terese, she snaps and dumps him.

When Cara brings JJ to the Penthouse to visit Nell. Paul apologises for going to the police, saying she has his support, before apologising to Cara for punishing her with the compliance role. They’re interrupted when Chelsea arrives to tell Paul about Terese and Darcy’s deal.

Seeking Terese out, Paul is outraged she accused him of being in a conspiracy with Chelsea while secretly striking a deal with Darcy to monitor her. Upset, Paul seeks advice from Leo, who suggests Terese is unsettled due to the history of infidelity in her past relatonships and tells Paul to show her what she means to him.

Inviting Terese for a game of outdoor chess, Paul proposes to Terese. When Terese lets him down gently, despite Paul’s insistence that the proposal isn’t because of Chelsea, Terese is firm in her belief that he’s asking for the wrong reasons. Remarrying shouldn’t be about solving a dispute.

Later, Chelsea sees an upset Paul with the ring box and intuits what's happened, privately wondering if there’s hope for her with Paul after all. Savouring old photos of her, Paul and Thomas, Chelsea plans for a future with Paul.

When Terese vents to Remi about Paul's proposal, Remi is sympathetic, but gently suggests that Paul is at least attempting to offer Terese the ultimate reassurance.

This prompts Terese to promise Paul that even though she will never trust Chelsea, she will be very proud to be his wife again when the time is right. And the couple reach a moment of reconciliation.
