And when he hears about Eve and Stacey's new business idea, Martin tries to buoy them about their livelihood and makes a plan by calling a meeting with the council.
Later, Ruby reveals that Roman will be discharged from hospital, but it’s clear Martin is distracted and has taken too much on.
When the meeting with the councillor about the market gets brought forward, Martin is stressed, so Ruby offers to step in at the eleventh hour to help him.
At the Community Centre, the residents make their feelings known, but it’s not long before things take a turn when Ruby begins to argue with Councillor Barker.
Deflated, Ruby decides to try a different tactic and a run in with Councillor Barker in the Minute Mart gives her inspiration.
In an attempt to impress Martin, Ruby sees out a risky plan with Councillor Barker.
