Teddy offers to help Reiss prove Sonia’s innocence in EastEnders

How will he feel when Hugh wants to release Debbie's body?

 14-20 SEPTEMBER

Reiss is accosted by Teddy, who tells him that he needs him to work on his books to hide his wealth, even if it means doing illegal fiddling. Reiss isn’t happy but has no choice.

Reiss continues to struggle as the gossips have a field day talking about Sonia’s guilt.

Piling on the pressure, Teddy says he needs those books back by tomorrow as his ex’s solicitor is pushing for them. If he can meet the deadline, Teddy offers to help Reiss prove Sonia’s innocence if he can meet the deadline, so he agrees.

Later, Teddy is delighted that Reiss has sorted his books.

Meanwhile, having been tipped off that he’s defending his wife’s killer, a reporter accosts Reiss to get an interview.

After agreeing to one, Reiss is pleased that his interview with the journalist has helped cast doubt on Sonia’s guilt.

Changing her tune, Kim decides to support Sonia publicly, as Alfie pitches up with a box of ‘Save Our Sonia’ t-shirts.

But Reiss’ mood is shattered when Hugh arrives to ask him to sign the paperwork to release Debbie’s body for her funeral.

As Hugh begs him to see the truth about his killer fiancé, Reiss feels deeply uncomfortable.

EastEnders continues Mondays to Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One with first look episodes available from 6am on BBC iPlayer
