But can Terese escape her demons?

After being caught with a bottle of wine, Terese lies to Nell that she has been thinking about drinking but hasn’t yet acted on it.
When she presses Nell into keeping her secret, in exchange for not telling Toadie that Nell snuck off to Erinsborough without permission, she accepts the deal, but later visits JJ at home to ask him to keep an eye on Terese, as she's clearly still worried about her.
Meanwhile, a concerned Susan pays Terese a visit to check on her welfare. Arousing Susan’s suspicions, Terese almost slips up with her lie that she was unwell, but tries to placate her by agreeing to go to Boylesque together.
The next morning, Terese overhears Susan telling Karl that a bottle from Moira’s wine delivery went missing from Eirini Rising and her guilt surges as the noose around her neck tightens.
Unable to escape her own demons, Terese tries to get out of attending the Boylesque event so she can stay home and drink alone. But oblivious to what her friend is really going through, Susan pushes, and Terese is forced to turn up.
Surrounded by alcohol, Terese’s temptation is overwhelming and a heartsick run-in with
Paul pushes her over the edge, and she sneaks a drink, only to be busted by Vic.
Unaware of Terese’s alcoholism, Vic doesn’t give it a second thought, but Terese is rattled. Making excuses to her worried friends, Terese plans a trip away, succumbing ever further to her addiction.
