But will she want to?
4-10 JANUARY
When Vera cheerfully announces that she’s interviewing for a bungalow out the back of a share house, Sadie and the housemates feel awful and feel responsible for her deciding to leave.
Well aware that despite Vera’s enthusiasm for finding housemates her own age, it's because of their harsh words on Christmas Eve. But when a disheartened Vera fails to secure the flat, Sadie resolves to help her stand out from the crowd and nab the house of her dreams.
Treating Vera to a makeover, Sadie coaches her on interview questions while Max and Byron make a batch of bribe brownies. But once again, Vera returns home unsuccessful. She might have stood out, but her personality didn’t win her any points.
As the housemates beg her to stay, Vera remains committed to finding her people. It’s just going to take longer than she initially thought.
Meanwhile, Paul signs Sadie up for a piercing course, to see whether it might be a service they can offer at the Day Spa. But Byron’s stunned when she returns home with a septum piercing, and has to cover his shock, assuring Sadie he thinks it’s great.
Scared to tell Andrew, Sadie is pleasantly surprised by his positive reaction. When she jokes that maybe she should get another piercing, Byron has to bite his tongue, desperately hoping she doesn’t go through with it.
