But what will this mean for Ro?
22-28 MARCH
With the trauma he caused the village still raw, Peri rejects the idea of a memorial for Abe after Marie informs her that her son's body has been released to the morgue.
As Tony offers the grieving mum support, with their relationship going from strength to strength, he surprises Marie by suggesting they get engaged.
Later, Diane is shocked to hear that Tony and Marie are engaged and when Ro receives a nasty text, she tries to reach out to him. With the rest of the family gathering to make a toast, a taunting Arlo warns Ro on the consequences if he tells anyone about the messages.
Keeping up appearances, Ro tells his mum he feels better after his and Arlo’s chat and Diane has a heartfelt conversation with Tony. When Marie walks in she sincerely wishes them the best for their future together.
Whilst Marie and Tony are busy planning their engagement party, which is happening later that night, Diane’s mind is elsewhere.
Worried what his mum might do, Ro joins her at the engagement party and Diane pleads with Tony to see the truth.
