Could Andrew be tempted by a new admirer?

26 APRIL - 2 MAY
While contemplating whether teaching is the right path for her, Wendy finally gets an opportunity to do some relief teaching at Erinsborough High.
With the possibility of a permanent position on the horizon, Wendy steels herself, only to find her class is lovely and hardworking. While Wendy celebrates how well it’s all going, quickly rediscovering her enthusiasm for the job, she’s unaware Dex is doing his best to keep wayward student Ryan in line.
But even when Ryan’s behaviour initiates an incident that threatens to escalate out of control, Wendy quickly steps in and successfully diffuses the tension.

Feeling hopeful about her prospects as a teacher, Wendy’s dealt a new blow when Jane reveals there won’t be a permanent position available at Erinsborough High after all.
Resolving to be philosophical about it all, Wendy remains positive, and finally gets the job offer she’s been waiting for, at Murrayville.
Meanwhile, Andrew’s pleased when Sandra, a member of his self-defence class, praises him for all the work he’s doing, oblivious to the fact she’s flirting with him.
Sandra’s attempts to foster a romantic vibe with Andrew do not go unnoticed by Max and Holly, who reveal the truth to their clueless teacher, leading him to awkwardly let the embarrassed Sandra know he’s actually a happily married man.

As an excited Wendy celebrates her job offer in Murrayville with Andrew, it’s clear he has some reservations.
Eventually he tells her the job doesn’t seem like a realistic option and tempers fray when Wendy tells Andrew it’s his turn to make sacrifices for her. Remaining stubborn, Andrew says he’s not free to move wherever and whenever he wants.
Later, Andrew catches Wendy telling Sadie and Byron about the offer and is disapproving, telling her he’s unlikely to change his stance. But when Andrew heads out, a defiant Wendy says she’s not changing her mind either, leaving the couple at a stalemate.
