Hosted by Dan Levy, An Evening with Elton John and Brandi Carlile, will feature live performances, captivating stories about the pair’s careers and their enduring friendship, as well as an intimate look at their new collaborative album.


Filmed at The London Palladium and accompanied by a live band, Elton John and Brandi Carlile will perform songs from their new album, Who Believes in Angels?, a selection of their individual greatest hits as well as duetting on some iconic tracks, giving the audience a chance to experience their beloved songs as never heard before.


Between these electrifying solo and duo performances, Elton and Brandi will also invite the audience to a sit-down conversation on stage, hosted by their close friend Dan Levy, that will pull back the curtain on their 20-year friendship and look into their remarkable lives and journeys.


Plus they will take a look at exclusively shot, 'behind the scenes' footage from the making of the album. Additionally, throughout the evening, those closest to Elton and Brandi will pay emotional tributes to the artists’ illustrious careers.

 RETURNING FACTUAL ENTERTAINMENT

WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?
 

Tuesday 22nd April at 9pm on BBC One


Who Do You Think You Are? returns this week for its 22nd as eight celebrities uncover astounding revelations as they dive into their families' heritage.


Spanning almost 800 years of history, the celebrities unearth remarkable stories from tragic romances and early Hollywood glamour to harrowing revelations of war and slavery. It will take viewers across the UK and around the world including Jamaica, Morocco, India, Poland, Germany, Ireland, the USA and France as the celebrities search for answers.


In the opening episode, actor Andrew Garfield embarks on a journey of emotional contrasts, from pre-War Poland; to the Treblinka Nazi death camp; to the sunshine and glamour of early Hollywood.


Other celebrities taking part this series, include Diane Morgan, Mishal Husain, Ross Kemp, Aisling Bea, Will Young, Fred Sirieix and Layton Williams.

RACE ACROSS THE WORLD
 

Wednesday 23rd April at 9pm on BBC One


Race Across the World is back for a fifth series and the starting point for this year's epic race is The Great Wall of China as five teams must navigate three of Asia’s most diverse nations, China, Nepal and India, in a race of over 14,000km to reach the finish line, Kanniyakumari, the southernmost tip of India. 

 

The teams include: sisters, Elizabeth and Letitia; former married couple, Yin and Gaz, brothers, Brian and Melvyn; teenage couple, Fin and Sioned and mother and son, Caroline and Tom. 

 

Racing across vast distances without smartphones or bank cards, and armed only with cash equating to the cost of flying the route, our teams will be pushed to their absolute limits. Only one team can claim victory over the others and win the cash prize of £20,000.

 BRAND NEW DRAMA

I, JACK WRIGHT

This week sees Unforgotten writer, Chris Lang, brings us a new drama about a family feud. I, Jack Wright promises to be a propulsive, darkly comic and moving murder mystery family drama which offers many twists and turns as one family deals with treachery and hidden agendas from all involved.


Trevor Eve plays Jack Wright, a powerful and successful businessman, who leaves his family in disarray when they learn of his suicide.


When the provisions of Jack’s final will and testament are made known, his third wife, Sally Wright, played by Nikki Amuka-Bird, and two sons, Gray Wright and John Wright, played by John Simm Daniel Rigby, are shocked to discover they have been largely cut out of Jack’s enormous fortune.


As DCI Hector Morgan and DC Katie Jones, played by Harry Lloyd and Liz Kingsman, delve further into the case, they realise Jack’s cause of death was in fact murder.


Their sights turn to the Wright family, where the mother of all feuds is beginning. As each family member becomes more reckless and desperate in their bid to own a piece of Jack’s legacy, dark secrets and resentments are revealed with explosive consequences.

On Disney+ this week, a brand new documentary, Flintoff, offers an intimate and unprecedented look at the life of one of Britain’s most beloved sportsmen and TV personalities. Former international cricketer and broadcaster Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff.

With exclusive access to Flintoff and featuring his wife Rachael and close friends including Michael Vaughan, James Corden, and Jack Whitehall, the documentary follows his compelling life story from winning two Ashes series for England, to becoming a British TV icon, and finally, returning to the game following his life-altering car crash in 2022 during the filming of Top Gear.
