BRAND NEW DRAMA
UNTIL I KILL YOU
Sunday 3rd to Wednesday 6th November at 9pm on ITV1
ITV1's new four-part drama, Until I Kill You, tells the extraordinary true story of Delia Balmer, played by Anna Maxwell Martin, who survived a near-fatal relationship with murderer John Sweeney, played by Shaun Evans.
Based on Delia Balmer’s memoir, Living with a Serial Killer, Until I Kill You is written by Nick Stevens and sees Delia Balmer narrate the ordeal Delia suffered at the hands of John Sweeney, and her traumatic journey through the police and criminal justice system as they attempt to prosecute him for his crimes.
In 1991 Delia leads an itinerant and solitary life in London working as an agency nurse. When she meets fellow free-spirit John Sweeney in a local pub, it seems like the connection she has been searching for.
As the relationship develops, Sweeney’s artistic, anti-establishment persona gives way to a darker side, culminating in a series of violent attacks on Delia, during which he tells her he killed his former girlfriend and disposed of her body in an Amsterdam canal.
Sweeney is arrested but, due to a catastrophic failure to realise how dangerous he is, granted bail. He very quickly pursues Delia and subjects her to a horrific, nearfatal attack. She survives, but Sweeney evades capture and disappears.
Shattered by the trauma and injuries inflicted by Sweeney, Delia bravely seeks to rebuild her life. But Sweeney returns seven years later and is arrested for the murder of another girlfriend in North London. Delia’s fragile recovery is shattered all over again as she has to face Sweeney in open court, her testimony vital to the prosecution case against him.
This is the story of one woman’s astonishing will to survive through physical and emotional torment, despite the failings of the institutions which were meant to protect her.

RETURNING DRAMA
SHETLAND
Wednesday 6th November at 9pm on BBC One
Ashley Jensen and Alison O’Donnell return for a ninth series of BBC One's murder-mystery drama, Shetland. When a double missing persons case blurs the line between the personal and the professional, Calder and Tosh are drawn into a labyrinthine investigation.
When Tosh’s friend, Annie Bett, goes missing she suspects something is seriously wrong. Ruth Calder, now living in Shetland, has no time to recover from a life-threatening ordeal of her own, as together they set out in search of Annie and her young son, Noah.
They discover that accountant Annie is estranged from her husband, Ian, and has been staying with mussel farmer John Harris and his two sons, Patrick and Fergus. Worryingly, there’s no sign of Annie there either.
Calder follows Tosh’s instincts and looks for Annie at the home she shared with Ian. There, they discover Professor Euan Rossi, who claims to have been Annie’s Oxford University tutor many years ago.
Suspicions are stirred when Tosh and Calder learn Rossi travelled all the way to Shetland after Annie left him a distressed voicemail the night she vanished. Calder can’t shake the feeling there’s more to Rossi than meets the eye. Meanwhile, at the station, Calder delves deeper into another case involving a deadly argument between two brothers.
The missing persons investigation draws Tosh and Calder into a web of lies and when a bloodied person turns up at a remote garage, nothing can prepare the team for what lies ahead.
