CHRISTMAS SPECIAL
THE REPAIR SHOP AT CHRISTMAS
Christmas Eve at 8.15pm on BBC One
It’s festive season at The Repair Shop, and this year the team of experts are back spreading joy and creating more Christmas magic with their festive fixes.
First through the barn doors are two giant fibre-glass puffins that were gifted to a very special children’s bookshop and have welcomed generations of children and been at the centre of the bookshop’s Christmas celebrations for over 50 years.
Will Kirk, Kirsten Ramsey, Steve Fletcher and Mark Stuckey are facing their own festive challenge of reviving an enchanting miniature Christmas village that lights up a family home, where over 30 foster children have been looked after. This ever-expanding village is now a time capsule of Christmas memories for a blended family.
In a festive collaboration with BBC One’s The One Show, Roman Kemp brings the Teddy Bear Ladies, Amanda Middleditch and Julie Tatchell, a special bear, a Christmas gift for a four-year-old boy, after he cycled 100 miles to raise money for the hospital that cared for his sick grandad.
Meanwhile, clever-with-leather Suzie Fletcher is restoring a donkey saddle that’s been handed down through four generations of farmers. And finally, three sisters bring in a magic lantern projector that’s over 100 years old, which has been at the centre of their family’s Christmas Eve tradition telling the story of ‘Twas the Night before Christmas.

CHRISTMAS SPECIAL
THE MADAME BLANC MYSTERIES
Christmas Eve at 9.15pm on Channel 5
As The Madame Blanc Mysteries returns for brand new Christmas special, it's Christmas Eve at the bustling Christmas market in Saint Victoire and father and son puppeteers, Frederick and Christian, are in high spirits, laughing and drinking mulled wine.
Christian entertains the crowd with a puppet on each hand, while Frederick misses his cue when the character Guignol is called. Nearby, an innocent vendor cleaning up her stall screams in terror as she stumbles upon Frederick lying on the ground with a blood-soaked Guignol puppet still on his hand.
Meanwhile, at the chateau, Judith receives a shocking Christmas card from a former bridesmaid, revealing a disturbing truth about her marriage.
Back at the market, Jean inspects the crime scene and something sinister about the puppet.
Joanna, Christian's mother, arrives at the market, having been informed by her granddaughter. In a moment of grief and tension, Christian accuses Joanna of being relieved to finally be rid of Frederick. Later that evening, Dom is thrilled when Jean invites him to stay over. Already prepared, Dom collects his overnight bag from his car, Madeline which he's had packed ever since their first kiss.
On Christmas morning, Jean and Caron visit Joanna's home, where they meet Christian’s daughter Giselle and her stepfather Hans. As Jean observes the family, her suspicions deepen - she begins to wonder if Frederick’s death was more than an accident and if those closest to him might be involved.

BRAND NEW DRAMA
A GHOST STORY FOR CHRISTMAS: WOMAN OF STONE
Christmas Eve at 10.15pm on BBC Two
This Christmas, Mark Gatiss brings E. Nesbit’s chilling short story Man-Size in Marble back to life in his seventh Ghost Story for Christmas.
In her final days, author Edith Nesbit, played by Celia Imrie, recounts the chilling tale of newlywed Victorians Jack and Laura, played by Éanna Hardwicke and Phoebe Horn. The couple are settling into a small cottage in a quiet village when their idyll is overshadowed by the superstitious warnings of their housekeeper, Mrs Dorman, played by Monica Dolan, and the legend of the village church’s tomb effigies - a pair of marble knights who are said to rise from their slabs on Christmas Eve…
Jack dismisses this is as mere folklore. But as the fateful night draws near, he feels drawn to the church, leaving Laura at home, all alone.
